Happy Resurrection Day!

What a joyful day!  I would like to share a photo of my darling little cousins on Easter Day.  I made McKenzie and Parker photo frames to put their picture in.  It's important that they remember these cherished moments together and the frame will definitely be a keepsake.
With these two frames I purchased from Michaels for $1 each, they were painted with a soft pink acrylic paint.  I used DCWC Garden Party Stack to cover them.  I cut out the butterflies from one of the pages and added the pearl bling.  The flowers are from Prima.  My punches are Martha Stewart lace edge punch and fringe scissors for the grass. The digital stamp is Robert Jackson Fine Arts. I used Copics and BicMarkit pens.

Papercrafter in the Making

My little cousin McKenzie wanted me to help her with a school project.  She had to create a shoe box with her favorite insect ‘the butterfly’ and boy was I excited!  What?!!  It’s another opportunity to Papercraft!   I took out a DCWV decoupage kit I received as a RAK from my scrappy sistah Samantha. We took out the Making Memories paint and the rest was on.  Being the scrapbooker that I am it was only appropriate to pull out the camera to capture the moment, because I knew a layout was coming.  It's my Design Team project for Platinum Scraps with a Pagemap 2 page sketch.

Of course I couldn’t resist the DCWV Mariposa pattern and solid glimmer cardstock paper pack.  Perfect huh? In her project McKenzie used Making Memories paint for the dirt, grass and sky.  She used Martha Stewart fringe scissors for the grass.  I received some butterfly stickers as a RAK and she placed them on the inside and out.  For the clouds my scrappy sistah Rhoda suggested cotton balls! Of course it was her project so why not personalize it with sticker alphabets and that’s why McKenzie Butterflies received an A+ on her assignment.

Check out the details in her project!

That's a proud girl!  A+
Job Well Done McKenzie!! She was ALL smiles and I think she’s a PapercraftEr in the making!

Altered Paint Stick Swap

Look what I created for my partner Eunice in an Altered Paint Stick swap at Scraps of Color hosted by sweet Mary J.  Her request were brown, black, earthtones and a little afrocentricity.  I've been wanting to create with Graphic 45 Curtain Call collection for some time now and use my rubber stamp.  Well the time has come.  Got inspired watching a You Tube video by LiveLoveScrap.  Eunice said she was pleased so I've been blushing every since!
Rear view (sideways)

Hidden tag and journaling fold secured by a Tim Holtz arrow. Added black lace under the fold

Hope she journals something that keeps her positive and motivated!

Yes indeed...I had to personalize it!

Added a few feathers and Prima flowers

Front view (height)

I cut out the Graphic 45 stamp by Hampton Art and placed on top of a Spellbinder die.
Added ink to the doily and placed them in layers on the paint stick.
Used some Creme de Chocolat glimmer mist on the doily.

Added beads around the face of the clock.

Used a Bo Bunny Time Collection sticker & pp
