EMPIRE featuring Trai Byers

We’re continuing the EMPIRE Take Over Challenge at Scraps Of Color featuring Trai Byers Andre.  I am bringing you two more creations.  The first card represents the struggle with his faith.  Although a business man totally devoted to his father Lucious EMPIRE, Andre finally seeks GOD!  The challenge at SOC was to use a die cut and spiritual or encouraging sentiment.  My die cut is a Sizzix file folder.  The sentiment is by Eureka word art.  Inside the file folder is the hymn ‘Saved Saved’.  Both images of course are by the one and only Robert Jackson.

The second card reflects his new love.  Yes it is no longer a rumor.  Trai Byers ‘Andre’ is officially dating Grace Gealey ‘Anika’.  The die cut used is a heart and the scripture is one of my favorites.  I wanted to use the double heart metal to define their love. Ready for the 3rd image?  Come back next week!!!!!

Entering in the following challenges:
Word Art Wednesday – Scripture
Crafty Calendar Challenge – Add Some Metal
Craft For the Craic – BINGO (image, more than 2 layers, die cut)

EMPIRE Take Over Challenge at SOC

What a great 1st season for EMPIRE!  We are continuing the intense excitement at Scraps of Color with challenges from Mary Joyce at Scraps of Color.   The images are all created by the one and only talented Robert Jackson.  Our first image is Grace Gealey or Anika better known as Boo Boo Kitty as only Cookie can call her.  This challenge can be intense as well.  You must complete the first image with the challenge before you get the next image.  The challenge for Anika was to include red lip stick, bling and make it elegant.  I had two scenes in mind: The red carpet and the scene with her and Hakeem, which was WAY over the top for me.  After posting the image on SOC, I added stickles to make the carpet pop on this side card.

I purchased a jewelry kit from Michaels and after making a necklace, earrings and bracelet, I had a few more micro beads left.  That inspired my idea to make the beads that Lucious pulled back and saw…….. Remember when?

Now the anticipation for us is to see which actor Robert Jackson will release next!  Stop by each week.  You’ll be in for a treat.

Sisterhood Month

This is my Design Team post for Scraps of Color E:spire.  My sorority Delta Sigma Theta celebrates Sisterhood the entire month of March.  We have a calendar filled with events to fellowship, reclaim, and perform kind gestures.  It’s so great to reach out to a sister, especially one you don’t normally see or hear from.  Although we have many programs for the community, we end the month with a special activity just for us to focus on our physical, mental and spiritual well being.  I love my sorority.  Oh just to be a Delta Girl.

C'est Magnifique Winner!!!

I love pizza and when I  open the box to smell the aroma....Mmmm mmm good.  When I open a pizza box and SEE Scrappy items....I  SCREAM!  Check out the prize I received from C'est Magnifique for winning their January challenge.  Look at the pretty items and you should check out their website to see how their Design Team used it.  Blue is not a color I use normally so I'm extremely excited to play with these items.  Well I'm logging off to create.  Check back later this week to see how I used everything and I mean everything in this kit.  Time to play!
