The Haves & Have Not featuring Hanna and Candace

Our last two characters in Scraps of Color relay challenge for The Haves & Have Nots is Hanna & Candace.  We were asked to use a die cut and a scripture for Hanna.  For Candace we were to use a quote with the word money and bling. This was the longest group of characters.  Just by playing along with meeting the deadline with the requirements on each project, you receive all the digitals!   Thanks to Mary Joyce for keeping us inspired and Robert Jackson for his great heART!  You can purchase the images here.

It's a Church Fan

I created a Church Fan for my May Guest Designer post at Word Art Wednesday.  We are preparing for Vacation Bible School and the adult ladies class will be making church fans.  They are excited, because the children always make crafts.  Last year the ladies request one day for crafts.  This is one of the examples.  I can't wait to make the kits up for them.  Sure have enjoyed being a Guest Designer for Word Art Wednesday.  Won't you join us in creating a Family/Friendly craft and post?

The Winner will win a $25 gift certificate.  The sponsor for Challenge Week 232-233 is

Today was The Best!

And it really was The Best!  Yesterday I got off work and went straight to the craft room to create a few cards.  Here's my first one.  Red/Black/White is my favorite combo, but my favorite color is purple.  This is my first time using Our Daily Bread Designs Filigree Frame I won at their blog hop. It is beautiful!!! Mema's Crafts raked me with the flower die cut!

May Guest Designer at Word Art Wednesday

You can't imagine the joy I felt when asked to be Guest Designer at Word Art Wednesday!!!  It was my first challenge to play in 2012.  I was drawn by their inspirational Word Art and have been joining them every since.  There is a saying, "It's a lonely place when no one visits".  One thing I love about Word Art Wednesday Design Team, they consistently  stop by to visit your blog and thank you for contributing to their site. Not only do they create beautiful art, they have big HeARTS!

When I read the scripture this sweet image by Robert Jackson spoke to my spirit.  Isn't it Heartwarming?  We have to take care of our elderly.  It saddens my heart when I see young people on the news bringing hurt and harm to our seniors.  Instead they should be seeking wisdom and knowledge and blessing them with their time.  I use to crochet before scrapbooking and I remember the quality time I had with my great cousin.  She taught me to cook, sterilize dishes before it was a dishwasher and plant a garden.  They are memories I will cherish forever.

Hope you see your Family/Friendly creations at Word Art Wednesday.  They have also included a free word art to use if you like.  Psalm 33:11

Their friends at Freckled Fawn are offering one person a $15 Gift Certificate to their shop.  Freckled Fawn carries washi tapes, wood chips, cork, metal and so much more.

The Haves & Have Nots featuring Veronica

Robert Jackson gave us David in the last challenge. This week's character in Tyler Perry's The Haves & Have Nots is Veronica.  I'm sure (Angela Robinson) is a nice person in real life, but when she acts the role of Veronica.....She's a bad woman and has truly surprised me. Scraps of Color challenge was to include black and bling.  My goal was an elegant look so I grabbed the last sheet of Webster's Page and used one of Martha Stewart's edge punches.  In my bling stash, I found just two more of the word 'love'.  The ticket was perfect for the way I feel about her, although this would be a lovely card for a couple.  Thanks to Sketch Saturday, they made my design easy to create.

The Haves and Have Nots Challenge featuring Katheryn Cryer

This is week Five and we are featuring Katheryn Cryer from The Haves and Have Nots on Scraps of Color.  The talented Robert Jackson's work is amazing.  I thought I would just add Jim and Wyatt since I didn't get a chance to post their creations. I love the sentiment on this card which is so true, "In time of test, Family is best".  No matter how much money you have or knowledge or power, things in life will happen.  This family has seen their test and trials and there is more drama to play out in the show. If they could only seek God their life........Mercy!!!
