12 days of Christmas
We're celebrating the 12 days of Christmas at my job and we are having a ball. The competition is stiff. Each day we share a theme with an awesome meal, breakfast or treat. We were the 2nd day and this was our treat inspired by a posting on Pinterest called Santa's Hat Treats. Not sure of the originator. Our theme was the North Pole. Santa is caught going down the chimney!

December Daily Project - Day 1
Christmas is my second favorite holiday! Inspired by Moanica at Scraps of Color E:spire for the December Daily Project, I decided to post my Christmas Holiday journey for the next 25 days. Fond memories will be captured in a mini album and completed before the new year.

Trimming the tree is a holiday tradition that my mother started in the 70's. With all the excitement I couldn't sleep and decided to put on Mariah Carey's Christmas album and in two hours I was finished.

Mini Album swap
This is the mini I made for my scrappy friend Shaton on Scraps of Color. It’s a 6 x 9 album made from chipboard and corrugated fiberboard. Shaton’s favorite color is blue. The Green Tea paper pack by DCWV caught my eyes and I went crazy. I was hoping it wasn’t too busy. It’s a Peek A Boo cover. Transparency was placed between the two pages to protect the picture if she chooses to put in the circle. I used Prima flowers, Sizzix die cut leaves, butterfly from a RAK, Jolee bird cage and the QuicKutz scallop circle.
Left Page: Embellished a Dress form
Right Page: Martha Stewart edge punch & Quickutz scallop circle die cut, bling
Close up of the embellished dress form and altered stick pin I made
It’s 3 parts after I opened the left page. The left page opens to an accordion album. The middle is a gateway page. I used my Creative Memories square and heart punch and EK Success edge punch on the flaps. They open for journaling or photos
Check out the accordion views. A paperclip tied to a ribbon is attached to assure it's closure. Melody Ross sticker and Martha Stewart edge punch used.
When you open the gate way I used Spellbinder cuts for photos. Journaling added at the bottom. The middle may look like a 4x4 paper tied with a bow, but it’s actually an …….
Explosion box! Well sort of. Tags slide easily into the flaps. They have journaling so she can add photos if she likes and actually store something in the middle.
Once you open that page..to the left is a translucent envelope with lace and a MS edge punch and Melody Ross sticker. In the middle is another gateway. A cuttlebug fanciful tag is used to connect them. I made pocket pages and stored circle cuts and a mini envelope. See close up view
And the last page, which is the corrugated fiberboard that binds it all can have photos placed in them.
Thanks for looking!

Double Pocket Card Challenge at MemasCrafts
Designed this holiday card for MemasCrafts Challenge. She provided a tutorial and it was fun to make. I used DCWV Black Currant Stack. LOVE the purple. I used a dress form I received in a swap at SOC. The tab punch is by McGill. Added some flowers and pearls from Michaels and black feathers from Joann's.
This is the inside. The tags are from a Sizzix die cut. Added a dress form from Forever Young Cricut cartridge which is double matted on a Spellbinder die. I cut one in two to add a little color on the black inside panels and put some cream fiber on the edges. Stamp is from Michael's dollar bin. "Share the moments that bring you joy."

Breast Cancer Awareness month
Have you done your monthly exam? I have several friends, aunt and church members who are survivors. GOD is good and I’m so glad I contribute to the cause. I use to walk faithfully until I hurt my ankle, but I do donate $$$$! Since this is the start of Breast Cancer Awareness month I created a pin to wear instead of the ribbon. I colored the stamp, added a few embellishments and mod podged it to keep it from getting damaged. Then I cut some cardboard to keep it firm and added a bar pin on the back.
This is my favorite card. Found the digital images from Loo-Loo Designs. They are so beautiful together with the messages used for the card. I am loving this gateway design.

Mamatine's Sewing Machine
Clementine pronounced ( klem-uhn-teen) is my aunt affectionately called Mamatine. She is an awesome seamstress. Each time I visit I love to see what new things she’s added to her sewing room. One year for Christmas I made all my aunt’s shadowboxes and her title was I love you ‘Sew’ much. I used the photo of her receiving the shadowbox in the layout.
This week on Platinumscraps we were asked to create a layout using the Pagemap sketch above. When I saw the dressform I knew exactly what photos I was going to use. It was fun using some old buttons from my stash. I wish I would have used some floss in a few of the buttons. The dress form was from the SOC dress form swap and of course I had to embellish it. The paper is from SEI I found in a Kreatorville Kit and the titleframe is from Crate paper. The animal print is from Me & My Big Ideas. I used Martha Stewart edge punch under the journaling. TFL and I welcome your comments

I'm Wild about You!
I decided to join our Team B challenge on Platinumscraps. This is my take on the card sketch from Cardabilities.
While sorting paper I came across an old Creative Memories animal print paper pack. I started to play around with a circle edge punch by Fiskars and the circles generated. The ape die cut was found at Archivers. The title “I’m Wild about you” came to mind and I added flock for the ground and also to the ape’s chest and feet. The African violet stamp is by Hero Arts and the hemp cord was found at Michaels’. Thanks for stopping by!
