Penguin Love

You must agree these are the most adorable penguins.  I used a variety of products with this card.  The penguin stamp set is by Stampendous using Spectrum Noir markers.  The Sizzix framelit step up card was the perfect way to create my scenery. Martha Stewart snow flake punch is the embellishment you can't see on the first photo. I sprinkled a little Stickles on them to make them pop. I can't believe it took me three hours to create the card, but I'm pleased with it.

EMPIRE Take Over Challenge at SOC

What a great 1^st season for EMPIRE!  We are continuing the intense excitement at Scraps of Color with challenges from Mary Joyce at Scraps of Color.   The images are all created by the one and only talented Robert Jackson.  Our first image is Grace Gealey or Anika better known as Boo Boo Kitty as only Cookie can call her.  This challenge can be intense as well.  You must complete the first image with the challenge before you get the next image.  The challenge for Anika was to include red lip stick, bling and make it elegant.  I had two scenes in mind: The red carpet and the scene with her and Hakeem, which was WAY over the top for me.  After posting the image on SOC, I added stickles to make the carpet pop on this side card.

I purchased a jewelry kit from Michaels and after making a necklace, earrings and bracelet, I had a few more micro beads left.  That inspired my idea to make the beads that Lucious pulled back and saw…….. Remember when? 

Now the anticipation for us is to see which actor Robert Jackson will release next!  Stop by each week.  You’ll be in for a treat.

Friends for a Lifetime

We know having a friend means trust, listening, lending a shoulder to cry on, love, gratitude, and support, but what about patience?   What better support to have than a friend who has patience when you go shopping and they don't spend a thing.  I selected two Bugaboo digitals and added them to this side card.  From my stash, I adhered pattern paper and fiber to each step.  I took the strips from DCWV teen mat stack since it had cute little writing to bring attention to the shopping theme.  I usually add the Priceless stamp to the back of my cards, but I thought it was perfect for the friendship theme.

The Cutting Cafe' Challenge

I had a Happy Scrappy Saturday!  The fondest moment was playing with The Cutting Cafe'  digi images Ruby J, Elisha Jean & Mikala Ann.  Regina Easter submitted a challenge to create a card using these sweet little girls!  Aren’t they the cutest?  My April Kreatorville Kit had the perfect embellies in it for me to use with the side step card.  It was so much FUN to make I just had to share it with you.

For My Breast Cancer Survivors

This slide card was made for my Breast Cancer Survivors.  We were blessed this 'Pink' Sunday with six survivors from our church.  From a couple of months notice to 28 years of survival.  GOD IS GOOD!
