Robert Jackson Digital challenges

I’m having FUN in spite of the heat! At Scraps Of Color  we are having Robert Jackson digital stamp challenges

Altered Art Challenge
We had to use one of Robert Jackson's digital stamps so I chose the ‘Business Woman’.  I love to make things I can use.  Since I’m trying to keep some organization in my life, I thought about a jumbo clothes pin to keep up with my projects and challenges in my scraproom colors.  With Design Teams, meeting deadlines is a must and procrastination is not an option!  I painted it with red and black acrylic paint.  Mmmm just wasn’t quite satisfied so I pulled out my paper and several other embellishments.  Now I can keep up with my projects that I love to create!!!
Projects to create!

4th of July Challenge
This recipe from Taste of Home Red, White and Blue Dessert inspired me to create this 8x8 layout.  Its light and easy to prepare.   With the 100+ temperatures in Memphis I refuse to bake.  Check out ‘Chef Phebe’.  She is using her KitchenAid utensils.

Friends Til The End

Friends Til The End
Papercrafting has blessed me to have so many Friends Til the End. This card was made for Platinumscraps Design Team.  I love this sketch.  It will also be entered in Memascrafts June challenge - Just words. DCWV has several cool paper stacks.  This Black & White paper was used as my background when I found the pokie dot brads in my stash.  The purple flowers are a Rak from my Scrappy friend Mary J.  The sentiment is a DCWV Friendship rub on.  I pulled out my Cuttlebug embossed folder to give the black more definition.  Thanks for stopping by 'My Friend'.

A Conversation Piece - Kaisercraft Beyond the Page Coaster Set

Let the Church Say Amen.....Nehemiah 8:6  Click below to hear the song as you view my blog.  Thank you for stopping by. Your comments are greatly appreciated.  Be blessed
 Andrae Crouch featuring Marvin Winans

I always keep a song on my heart and that is the song that has been playing in my spirit for a while. “Let the Church Say Amen” is responsible for my creation for our Anything Goes Challenge #9 at Jacksons Digital Expressions. Our Design Team members were to alter coasters and use a banner with a picnic theme. I received this Kaisercraft Beyond the Page Coaster Set from my Scrappy friend Phillyscraps as a birthday RAK. I knew I wanted to create a conversation piece for my table, but not sure what. I  LOVE inspiration around me and YES that started the creative juices to flow. Mr. Jackson is SO talented and I absolutely love his digi's. He has a variety and there are several in his 'Come Sunday' category. I decided to do my Altered Coasters as an inspirational theme. All of the images are from his site Robert Jackson Fine Arts.  My coaster set is entitled Amen.

My banner reads Amen
Those are micro beads on the top of the coaster. Wish I would have put them all around the coaster.

I colored the base blue, green, orange and fushia

Used DCWV The Music Stash. For some reasons they stop selling it in the stores.
The papers are gorgeous and vibrant.
Here are six from one side.

Here are six from the opposite side.
Look below for more details.

LEFT: I used a doily from Michaels with a feather to accent.
Stamp is from Unity scripture set
RIGHT:  Use alpha beads and spelled PRAISE HIM
Yes sometimes you just have to wave your hand!
Can I get an AMEN?!!

LEFT:  Title are strips made from the the paper pack
Used a butterfly from Martha Stewart
RIGHT:  Used BIC Mark-its markers & Copics

LEFT:  Used a few flowers & bird from my stash
RIGHT:  Is that a Male Chorus or what? : )

LEFT: There are 2 different stamps. One is Technique Tuesday (I think) and the other Unity.
RIGHT:  That image reminds me of my Papa who was a deacon in the church.
He would also crawl out the bed just like that on his knees in prayer before he said Good Morning.

LEFT:  Prayer Hands....It all begins with prayer
RIGHT:  Oh my goodness....On my pew use to be a gang of children when I taught Sunday School.

LEFT:  Do you sing Dr. Watts in your church? That lady definitely has a song in her heart!
RIGHT:  GOD Cares for you

Thank you for going to church with me. AMEN!

Altered Door Knob Hanger and Door Sign

Check out what I created for my Secret Sister over at Scrapbook.com.   My friend Martica is the host of our Door Knob Hanger and Door Sign swap.  My Secret Sister’s favorite colors are lavender and light green.  First I must say I love the curves in the Door Knob.

Supplies:
DCWV Mariposa paper stack
Teresa Collins chipboard
Prima and Recollection flowers
Martha Stewart pearls & butterfly punches
Dress it up embellies
Doily from Michaels

Her name begins with a 'M'.

This is the Door Sign I created for her
She can hang it up with the light green ribbon or she can use the hanger in the back.

The crocheted doily is from a Kreatorville Kit.

Wish I would have highlighted the bird cage just a tid bit more.

Thank you for taking a peep!
