I'm Wild about You!

I decided to join our Team B challenge on Platinumscraps.  This is my take on the card sketch from Cardabilities.
While sorting paper I came across an old Creative Memories animal print paper pack.  I started to play around with a circle edge punch by Fiskars and the circles generated.  The ape die cut was found at Archivers.   The title “I’m Wild about you” came to mind and I added flock for the ground and also to the ape’s chest and feet.  The African violet stamp is by Hero Arts and the hemp cord was found at Michaels’.  Thanks for stopping by!

I wanted to use the last of my birthday photos.  It was the perfect sketch to include all who attended.  I enjoyed capturing their expressions when they received their prize.  My Scrappy girlfriends are a joy to be with.  Can’t wait for the next crop!

Sketchy Thursdays sketch for Platinum Scraps

This is my dearest friend and former co-worker Debbie Flowers I mentioned in SOC E:spire  who got me into this wonderful stress free hobby! Photo above taken in 1996 was of my first Creative Memories scrapbook class and the bottom photo was taken at my 50th birthday celebration. I said to her, “She started it!” and it inspired me to create the memory for my August Mirror Mirror layout. Thanks to her I've met all of you...HUGS!!!

50 never felt so good!

Celebrated Saturday with the Queen Scrappers at Archivers. We had a blast.  Our monthly crops ceased to a year so it was great seeing everyone!  Hopefully we can get back into meeting each month.

Sunday I got my praise on and after church I had a Kodak moment with my Auntie Granny.  Doesn’t she look great at 88!

Then on the BIG DAY Monday, August 22nd I blossomed into the Fabulous Fifty Club.  Praise GOD for half a century.  My staff surprised me with a bag of goodies and a banner to stroll in...WOW 50 never felt so good!

FNC & Birthday Weekend!

It’s my birthday weekend and I’m having so much fun!  Started off Friday Nite Chat at Scraps of Color with Mary Joyce as hostess.  We had to use a cowgirl image with a twist, which was to add our state.  This is my take.  I made an ATC card since I’m in an ATC state swap. I've been collecting a lot of these lately.  Then……we had (3) 30 minute challenges for the next projects.
Had fun with the twine and stitchwork.  The horse is an image also
Challenge #1  Use  4 pieces of scraps and make strips. One must be a solid color. Use a plain card as a backing. Add a sentiment and embellish as you like

Simple card.  What a great way to use my scraps.  I might be making more of these!
Challenge #2 Make a shaped card such as a circle, purse or flower. Must have no more than 3 colors on it and a sentiment. Must have 1 flower and some bling

I used my Wild Card Cricut to make this heart card...MS edge punch, Recollection flower and bling
Challenge #3 Make a tag using a mask to decorate it. Must have at least one mask item, a small sentiment and some ribbon or yarns

Yes I had birthday on the mind.  Tiara for the Princess as she turns the Golden girl.
WOW, I think it just hit me...I'm turning 50!

Thanks for stopping by!

Come on over to Platinumscraps and see what the other Design Team members created using a sketch from  Sketchy Thursdays.
This is my take on it.  Scripture Proverbs 22:6   Journaling reads: Papa's baby girl Minnie and oldest girl Elizabeth faithfully visits Ashton Nursing home.  Their great great niece McKenzie visits with them occasionally and loves to sing to the patients.

thank-ful
