Sending love their way

Made a few courtesy cards for my sorority sisters who have been ill using Lawn Fawn You've Got Mail clear stamps.  It was fun stamping again using the mailbox, hearts, sentiment, and mini envelopes.  I also added the hearts to the envelopes.  The image is one of Robert Jackson's.  I already had it colored and since our sorority colors are crimson and cream, she was perfect to add.

Sunshine Mail with Stitchy Stamps

Spreading a little SUNSHINE today.  Hope you join us at Sunshine Mail and make a card for a child and mail it. I usually make two for a boy and girl.  My goal is to mail them monthly.  While going through my stash of cards, I found a box of cards I've made for challenges.  They are going postal today!  If you too have a stash, mail them to Sunshine Mail Foundation, 2465 Centreville Road, #J17-767, Herndon, VA  20171.  You can find the donation form here.  Thanks to Stitchy Bear Stamps for being our sponsor with these cute little digis!

Along with the two for this week, I'm sending eight more.  You can find more information here with all the guidelines.  You can put them in one large envelope.  They don't need individual envelopes.

Canvas Art Journal

Here's my Design Team work for Scraps of Color E:Spire.  I found this Recollections Journal that came with a kit full of pink papers and chipboard embellishments.  I used all of the contents on an Altered Prima Journal previously posted and had the canvas left over. The texture was a bit hard to work with so I covered the front with paper and used watercolor for the back.   As you can see, my blog was the inspiration for the back.
The front of the canvas was painted, but I decided to cover with paper.  It was distressed and sprayed with Tattered Angels mist.  I used modeling paste with the brick template at the middle left, stamped clocks on the paper and added some metal ware.  The paper, flowers, leaves and ribbons came from  C'est Magnifique  July 2014 kit.

Close up

Thanks for stopping by.  I'm headed back to the scraproom to dabble with some acrylic paint.  Make it a great day!

Have a Need? Sow a Seed!

It's September and Mema's Crafts and her M & M girls are welcoming Autumn with a color challenge.  Yes we are ready to get cooled off from the raging heat.  I've altered a toilet paper roll with Die Cut With A View fall paper stack using a digital from our Sponsor Digi Stamps 4 Joy.  I used the leaves from the paper and added a metal leaf with burlap to add more texture. This is a project for my Sunday School class.  They will each receive one.  Our theme for the month is 'Have a Need?  Sow A Seed!"   As we move into the season of giving, I am excited to hear what seeds they will be sowing.

We would like for you to join us this month with our inspiration to create from this color challenge.

You can see what our other DT members created here.
