I definitely had fun over at Scraps of Color with the Holiday swap. We had to create a card and a homemade gift was option. My partner was Dianna Wilson that happens to be my sorority sister. She just celebrated 50 years in Delta so I made her a simple tag and interactive mini album. I recently purchased the prettiest Christmas paper stack by Recollections at Michaels to create it.

Celebrate Simplicity
This is what I'm feeling right now. I'm working on various projects and realize my mind and body is becoming a bit tired. Although unrealistic as it my sound, I need one day to do whatever I want. No work, no projects, no request....Just 'Me Time.' I look forward to refreshing my soul every Sunday in worship. Maybe I should start this month and commit to scheduling monthly or quarterly pampering. I'm learning less is more. This sketch from Freshly Made Sketches helped me to realize that. I am definitely one that loves layering my projects, but I kept it simple...I think. Anywho, just to relax with a manicure, pedicure and my herbal tea with a little jazz is everything. Mmmmm a massage would do too! What do you do to relax? Nothing like peace and tranquility.

50th Wedding Anniversary
This was a team effort. My mother covered the boxes and together we designed this gift box for a dear couple. It's their 50th Wedding Anniversary and the colors are black, gold and cream. They were extremely pleased and that made our hearts glad!
This is a close up of the topper. I painted it gold and included a Robert Jackson digital that I colored of this cute couple. The numbers are gold stickers. My mother added the ribbon and tulle.

Altered Gift for my Crafty Friend
We had an Altered Gift swap at Scraps of Color. My partner was Mary Joyce who loves animal print and the color orange. I altered a wooden jewelry box from Michaels. This is my creation. I pulled out some Animal print paper from Creative Memories. It was the perfect selection. This was so therapeutic. I think I might get another one to play with.
Mary Joyce preferences was animal print and the color orange is her favorite.
Robert Jackson image...Card created and a beautiful set of orange flowers
The jewelry box was filled with embellishments and a Unity stamp set instead of jewelry
The black really defined it.
Loving the hardware.
Box mark/tag using a Unity stamp for my friend
Animal print paper. My sister loves bling!
I always have to have everything down before I get started.

It’s Been A While
Yes it’s been a while and I miss card making. On my visit to JoAnns I picked up a Die/Cutting magazine and it had this die by Tattered Lace on the back. I LOVE tea and it just happened to fall in my cart. LOL I can’t remember where I got the sentiment stamp from, but I hope the sweet Dear I’m going to send it to warms her heart.
