A Time To Celebrate

First I want to thank you Alice for selecting me to receive the LIEBSTER award.  I was thrilled and honored to be considered.  For those that do not know, let me tell you about it
This Award was designed to be a blog award in the "Pay it Forward" fashion. Once you have been nominated you award it to five blogs that you like that have fewer than 200 followers to encourage visitors to their blog.
Rules for Acceptance
Thank the person who gave you the award and link back to their blog. Post the award onto your blog. Give the award to five bloggers that have fewer than 200 followers. Leave a comment on their blog letting them know that you have given them the Awesome Award. Pay it Forward.

So I went a blogging to search for the first five bloggers that had less than 200 followers and have not received the award.  They are
Mary Joyce
La-Vie
Tina

Second I have reached 150 followers and would like to RAK someone a $15 gift card from Michaels or Joanns.  Leave me a message about anything that's on your heart by midnight Wednesday, May 15th !!!

A Work in Progress

This card was created for a co-workers birthday whose favorite color is green. She wears braids so I thought this cute little Brat Kids image was the perfect one to use. I feel I'm getting better with Spectrum Noir markers especially after viewing a tutorial by Summer Hills-Painters coloring green using Palette Blending, but its still a work in progress.  I used Mojo Monday 291 sketch.

April cards bring May layouts

Although I love creating cards, I miss designing layouts so you will see more this month.  My play niece Morgan just celebrated her Sweet Sixteen.  These were the colors of her party.  This layout was framed and put on a table easel to commemorate her early years.  Look how cute she's blossomed.  Morgan is a focused honor student at Hutchison , who enjoys golf, dance, track and choir.  Her love for debating has inspired her to become an attorney.

Recipe ingredients:
McGill tab punch
Stampin Up banner punch
Martha Stewart edge punch

A thank you card

This sweet card is going to my sorority sister Betty Kyles who invited me to teach a Faithbooking class at her womens ministry.  I was so thankful and wanted to send a thank you card.  Of course it's a womens group so I just had to pull out my new Stampin Up dress form set. I'm trying so hard not to be a hoarder. The tulle came from my mother's stash of goodies.
Recipe Ingredients:
My Minds Eye paper
Stamp Up sentiment & dress form

Saturday parade ends

Hope you enjoyed the Saturday parade.  This is the third and last post of 'Lil Easter Dress' digital by Robert Jackson.  She was fun to play with and is ending in grand style on her easel card.  It's very special to me, because the supplies that were retrieved to create this one was from my stash of scraps. Scraps make the prettiest cards to me.  It's going to one of my sweet sorority sister's mother who is ill.  I just love the message, "Faith is not believing that God can but knowing that He will."  I'm sure you can attest to that.  Faith can move mountains!

It continues with Lil Easter Dress image by Robert Jackson.  This is second in line of three.  I don't know about you, but I usually print four or more images of the same digital just so I can have some practice or if I don't do the best job I'll have another one. Since it's spring I thought why not try the pastels. I went to my box of scraps and found both scrap papers of one I just cut the parisol out.
