The Cutting Cafe' Challenge

I had a Happy Scrappy Saturday!  The fondest moment was playing with The Cutting Cafe'  digi images Ruby J, Elisha Jean & Mikala Ann.  Regina Easter submitted a challenge to create a card using these sweet little girls!  Aren’t they the cutest?  My April Kreatorville Kit had the perfect embellies in it for me to use with the side step card.  It was so much FUN to make I just had to share it with you.
Supplies used:
Jillibean Soup blossom soup collection pea pods
Martha Stewart fringe scissors and edge punch
Bic Mark-its & Copic markers
Making Memories mini flowers
Stickles

Here's a close up of Elisha Jean & Mikala’s outfits…I love how I positioned their balloons.  Aren’t they adorable?  Check out the side view below.  Well I need to head on over to The Cutting Cafe because she has a buy one get one free and it expires today!   Thank you for visiting and please stop by again.

Mojo Monday Challenge

This is my first time submitting a card for Mojo Monday sketch challenge.  It’s Round or Square #MOJO201 and was created for a Scripture card swap I’m hosting at Scraps of Color . Can’t remember where I purchased the ribbon, but thought it was so appropriate for the card. The Choir Director Image is by Robert Jackson.    TFL!

Hey have you checked out Platinumscraps lately?  We had to create a 2 page layout from Sketchy Thursdays.

Here's my take on it. They are photos I took during our Regional conference held in Memphis, TN.  Yes my shoe had the boot so my movement was limited.  I fell down steps after a nursing home visitation and ended up with an ugly scraped up ankle, crutches, pain, swelling, infection and all........but blessed that no bones were broken or other damage to my body.  I just think GOD has a way of slowing us down, which led to this layout entitled 'Time'.  Journaling reads "It's nothing wrong with working hard or having a little fun, but sometimes you have to slow down and smell the roses".  As always...I thank you for visiting!

Products used:
DCWV Music stack
Martha Stewart edge punch
Sizzix musical notes
Creative Imaginations transparency
Hobby Lobby ribbon

Got Scraps????

Got Scraps?????????
..............Make Dress favors!
Let me tell you how it all got started.  Sharon at Scraps of Color led a discussion about dress forms. Of course I had one from the Forever Young Cricut cartridge and Hero Arts Sew Artsy stamp set, but I went searching for something else.   I was inspired by Cynscrapgirl at scrapbook.com. After sharing her fabulous creations Sharon led us to this link for a Youtube video by myautumnsunset.  Check it out  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ia2-fEP9NY
Can you believe there are 10 dress forms in the package for $1 at Dollar Tree?  What a deal!   I immediately went to my "scraps" to create.  I decorated the front and back.

The yellow dress makes me think about Rebecca on Sunnybrook farm

Really like the gold and white paper

Thinking of a vacation on the beach

Look at the ladybug!
Hope you enjoyed looking at them.  Now I've got to find some pink paper to make a few for my Breast Cancer Survivors.  As always.....Thanks for looking!

Explore techniques

Design Team work for Platinumscraps using a Pagemap sketch I created before celebrating Independence Day.  Yes Archiver’s is my favorite place to play.  On my last visit it took me two hours to go all over the place.  There are sooooo many new items each week.  I have to put myself on a budget.  Sticking to it is torture, but if I don’t….…well you know the outcome.
Products used:  My Minds Eye 29th Street Market pp, Me & My Big Ideas Coast Vacation embellishments, TH flourish die cut, American Craft sticker alphabets, Studio G rubber stamps, lace from Hancock Fabrics, Paper Studio brads

Thought about using inches for the titlework, but settled for this instead.  TFL!
