In Sympathy

As chair of Courtesy with my sorority I make a lot of cards.  I had four to send with condolences and wanted to use the same image.  Unfortunately I'm not sure where I purchased her from. It may be a Rubbernecker stamp.  If you know, please let me know.  I wanted a CAS style using Sizzix side card die for the first card.  The rubber stamp is embossed on the last three cards.

XOXO Hugs and Kisses

We were snowed in this weekend and I took advantage of the time to make a few projects.  The first is a mini pink paper bag (with close ups) and the second is a card.  The image on the paper bag is Chelsea Hugging Legs by Make it Crafty. The paper patterns are by Recollection.

Close up of the pink ribbon and fiber.

Close up of the flower I made with added stickles.

Close up of the pink beaded lace.

Here's a card for one of my sweet sorors who was just released from the hospital.

Love you Bro

My brother moved to Nashville years ago and has adapted to the country music and cowboy boots.  He's going to love this card I'm sending him for Valentine's Day.   The digital is by Robert Jackson.   The pattern behind the image is actually a fabric sample.  Rope is tied around it with a loop to compliment the rope in his hand. Thanks for looking.

Viva La Verve Sketch 2

Having a little fun over at Viva La Verve with their sketch challenges.  The digital is Balloon Boy 1 by Stitchy Bears.  You can never have enough cards for boys. Although the pattern paper by Pebbles Family Times has floral prints, I thought the metal would make it masculine. Thanks for stopping by.

Stephanie Brings Surprises

This sweet digital is by Art By Miran.  I love this digital because it can serve so many purposes.  Usually I make several cards with this digital and put the sentiment on them as needed.  It can be given for any occasion whether it's a birthday, illness, wedding, etc.  Isn't she the cutest?  Watercolor pencils were used to color them.

Owl is Well!

I haven't been craft shopping in a while.  Sunday I went to Michael's just to look at the new decorations and the cutest owl in the $1 bin said, "Buy me".  (Laughing myself silly)  I think it was the Owl's eyeglasses that caught my eye since I wear eyeglasses.  Any 'who' check out my projects (Card, Mixed media, ATC card) with the Owl theme.  By the way, I free handed the owl in the mixed media art.

Friendship

This card was inspired by My Time to Craft.  Their theme is Friendship.  What a blessing to have true friends.  I'm also thankful for the friends I have developed through Blog Land.  Some I'm met in person and most I haven't,  but I'm truly thankful for you.  I was unemployed for eight months and this month I made eight months gainfully employed SO I thank God for the support of friends AND the gift of paper crafting to be a blessing to others as they are to me.

Warm and Fuzzy

I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy especially after the Holiday season.  It carries on with the cold temperatures, which brings me to creating these two cards.  The first one was made for a challenge at Scraps of Color "All About Love" theme. I pulled out this adorable digital with the heart shaped buttons and thought..."You Warm My Heart" and the rest was created.

The next card is a MOJO Monday inspiration.  I am a bit old fashioned.  I'm okay with texting, but every now and then I want to hear a person's voice.

Have a Crafty weekend.

Lovely Lilac

This card was inspired by my church aunt who recently died. She had just been appointed to the Mother's Board.  I love to see her sitting up front and she was always a joy to know and to be around.  Although she had been sick for some time I truly believe she kept a song on her a heart and a Psalm in her mind. I found some scriptures she shared with me a few months in her handwriting before her passing.  It will surely go in my scrapbook album.

Shine

Yellow is a color that just brightens the room and I hope it brightens the receivers day!  This card was inspired by Viva La Verve's sketch.  I stamped the scripture to the doily.  The flowers were stamped with Tim Holtz embossing ink and I poured Suze Weinberg Gold Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel and Zing Pewter Embossing Powder on the flowers.  It's been a while since I've used embossing powders or the heating gun so I look forward to using it again soon.

MOJO Monday 429

Here's a card I'm sharing that was inspired by MOJO Monday sketch 429.  It's a card I'm sending to a friend who fell in love with my homemade Red Velvet cupcakes.  The recipe is on the inside of the card.  I found papers and embellishments from a kit I purchased at a Scrapbook Convention years ago.  I didn't complete the kit so I grabbed a few items to create the card using a digital image by Robert Jackson.
