Lamentations 3:25

Join us at Word Art Wednesday for the second challenge of 2020.  The scripture is Lamentations 3:25, but its Anything Goes.  Yes, I love this scripture and the digital image by Robert Jackson just spoke to my soul.  I thought it was the perfect one to use.  The paper is one of my favorites and I'm almost out by Bo Bunny Faith Collection paper stack.

It’s Been A While

Yes it’s been a while and I miss card making. On my visit to JoAnns I picked up a Die/Cutting magazine and it had this die by Tattered Lace on the back. I LOVE tea and it just happened to fall in my cart. LOL I can’t remember where I got the sentiment stamp from, but I hope the sweet Dear I’m going to send it to warms her heart.

Featured at Color Throwdown

How excited was I to be featured as the Guest Star Stamper at Color Throwdown! When I saw the color scheme I thought about water coloring, which I haven't done in a while.  Don't you just love challenges?  They allow me to reach in to products I haven't used in a while or try a different technique.  The stamps used are by Rubber Stamper (image) and Lizzie Anne (sentiment).

Hope you take time and play at Color Throwdown!

Happy Founders Day 2018

My friend Mary Joyce at Scraps of Color gifted me with these dies and I'm having way too much fun.  I used my sorority colors Crimson and Cream with a neutral color black to create this card.  Sketch Saturday made it easy with their sketch challenge.  Thought I would have a little more fun adding my die cuts with a goal of getting together more often from Cut It Up.  My sorority sisters are all busy ladies, but sometimes you have to get away from it all and take time to fellowship.  Craftycatz has a twist with One for the Ladies so this is my creation.

What a Prize!

I was a winner at Scrapbook.com World Card Making Day!  It made my day.  It was that kind of week when I had so many deadline projects and goals to meet at work, personal goals to stay focus with and trying to stay calm in all of it got me feeling pretty exhausted.  But there was a Silver Lining.....When I arrived home late last night, I was thrilled to pick up this huge box filled with goodies.  Let me share it with you!  You will be seeing some projects real soon.  I don't have any of these items in my stash so I can't wait to play in the craft room.  WOW, What A Blessing!  Sad to see so many craft stores have closed their doors, but Scrapbook.com is still striving and inspiring us to craft!  Got to love that place!!!!!!!!!!!!

My cowgirl is ready to cut up cancer.  Do you see her about to pull out her scissors?  It's another one of Robert Jackson cute digital images.  Scraps of Color has a Breast Cancer Challenge using one of his images.  The sweet Mary Joyce is hosting.  Tuesday Morning Sketches helped me create this card.  Let's fill our blogs with pink and join in the fight for the cause.

Happy DSP week!

I'm sharing cards made for our Direct Support Professional team at SRVS!  It takes a BIG heart to work with people with disabilities.   The cards are all made from scraps I was going to throw away.  The paper was too pretty to trash, but I found a purpose for it.  Cardmaking is a great way to use your scraps.  The sentiment is by Verve's Stamps!

Fall into your Season

The first card was inspired by a song Donald Lawrence sings entitled "Seasons".  I left the link on his name if you would like to listen to it.  It will truly speak to your heart. The sketch for both cards are by Freshly Made Sketches.  Autumn is my favorite season!  I love the coolness in the air, the crisp colors and the warmness of family and friends together.

Illustrated Faith

OH my....I LOVE this paper stack.  I couldn't stop creating and have enough paper left to make a few tags or cards.  It's an overload of photos, but I wanted you to see everything I created.

This is the layout I made to create the card using one 8 1/2 x 11 plain card stock.

Here's the inside view when you flip up the front cover.  The top pink piece has white sheets of paper to journal.  I just love the Spellbinder typewriter at the bottom!  I use it often.

This is the view when you open the bottom flap over to the left.  It's a few tags stuffed inside the Martha Stewart's edge punch.  The white flowers was a RAK from my sorority sister.

This is the back cover using Our Daily Bread Boho background die.

This is the front page of the card stock and since I loved all the papers I used it for the cover of my journal.

A few sheets of papers, stickers, and sentiments from the stack was used.  Lace and washi tape was added and I used a black watercolor pencil to make the papers and  embellishments stand out.

Below are three journals I made for my missionary sisters and added things in my stash along with scriptures.

This card was inspired by Viva La Verve August week 1 sketch.

Thank you for stopping by.  Let me know what you think about my creations!!!

Inspired by several challenges I created this card using Our Daily Bread Designs stamp I received from Archivers before they closed.  It's my first time using it. Mist and Glitter

Just having a little fun this morning wide awake since 3:30am.  I wanted to play in my craft room.  With this cute little digital from A Day For Daisy,  their challenge is to add glitter.  I used Pink Paislee Coconut Pixee Stix.  Stickles was used for the butterflies and a little in the background.  A splash of pink shimmer by Recollections was also applied.  I joined in with Chocolate Coffee Cards Girls of Summer #112 challenge and Word Art Wednesday week 236-237 Family/Friendly ATG .  This card is for my little four year old cousin, who just finished her recital.

May Guest Designer at Word Art Wednesday

You can't imagine the joy I felt when asked to be Guest Designer at Word Art Wednesday!!!  It was my first challenge to play in 2012.  I was drawn by their inspirational Word Art and have been joining them every since.  There is a saying, "It's a lonely place when no one visits".  One thing I love about Word Art Wednesday Design Team, they consistently  stop by to visit your blog and thank you for contributing to their site. Not only do they create beautiful art, they have big HeARTS!

When I read the scripture this sweet image by Robert Jackson spoke to my spirit.  Isn't it Heartwarming?  We have to take care of our elderly.  It saddens my heart when I see young people on the news bringing hurt and harm to our seniors.  Instead they should be seeking wisdom and knowledge and blessing them with their time.  I use to crochet before scrapbooking and I remember the quality time I had with my great cousin.  She taught me to cook, sterilize dishes before it was a dishwasher and plant a garden.  They are memories I will cherish forever.

Hope you see your Family/Friendly creations at Word Art Wednesday.  They have also included a free word art to use if you like.  Psalm 33:11
