Prima Doll Altered Journal Swap

Hi I'm back with another swap I participated in over at Scraps of Color hosted by Adriana. My partner was Tia B and her theme was pink with inspirational quotes.  I'm not a big fan of pink.  I love crafting with it during Breast Cancer Awareness month, but otherwise I don't use much.  Michaels had the cutest Recollection paper and chipboard embellishments.  I found a few pieces from my stash and it was on. We were suppose to get a journal and alter it using a Julie Nutting Prima doll. I think I am now "tickled pink"!  I wanted to share a few pages from the journal.

Tia B said she loved it and it was the BOMB.  That did my heART good!

Happy Birthday to Me I'm 53

Thank you God for another year!  I've been celebrating since my nephew's 1st birthday July 27th.  He's adorable and not because he's MY nephew.  It's amazing how time flies.  Because of him I'm scrapbooking again!   Love the cute stickers by Crafty Secrets Beautiful Brown Baby.

We celebrated his birthday in Memphis and I made him a banner which is now in his bedroom.  It's made up of fabrics both cloth and leather complimentary of Hilton Worldwide that I received during their Crop for a Cause last year.  I think I put it to good use. Burlap was added to the back of it and Die Cut with a View embellishments on top.  Oh I forgot to mention the letters are compliments from Classygirl Crop by Cosmo Cricket Blackboard Vintage Mix.

My mother's birthday was August 14th.  This is shadowbox I made for her.  It's an outfit that we truly adored him in from Janie and Jack.  The blocks were decorations from his baby shower. Mama Minnie is still smiling as it now hangs on her wall.  ( My apologies for the glare)

And here is another layout I completed.  It's going in my brothers album.  Having Junior home this weekend is the best birthday yet!  I'm giving him an album of layouts and photos of Juniors' first year. Boy is he going to be surprised!!!
