Congratulations Graduates!

Congratulations Graduates!
Here's another project I was working on for my co-worker's niece. Her main colors were burgundy, white and black.  The High School stack by Die Cut With A View was the perfect choice to compliment the pages in this 6x6 mini album.  This is a first....Acetate sheets were added to the front and back. I really like the look of it. It's the next best thing to acrylic!

Can't you see the acetate paper on the left?  I used her invitation which has her photo on the inside.

Notice the Sizzix film strip die? So proud I'm not letting my tools collect dust.  On the right is an open heart page to place photos.  The balloons are from Jolee that I've had for years...and I mean years. lol

Notice my Sizzix camera die? A brad was added to the locker so it would look like a combination lock.  It also opens for photos.
This is the back page.  The stack has lots of cute pages.   See the acetate paper on the right?  Hope you enjoyed the sneak peak.
My co-worker was pleased and so was her niece.  She was the only one with a scrapbook and was envied by all her friends.  As the saying goes, "A scrapbook is a present you open again and again and again!

And the winner is....

Thank you all for your comments on my last post and for your continued support.  I used Random.org and the winner is #7, who was Tiare.  Her comments read, "Awesome! Congratulations! You are wonderful. Thanks for your kind words on my blog. Now we'll all be painting and playing with mixed media and art journaling!".

So I must admit I've been Missing In Action.  My life has been SO busy in the world of craftiness with mini albums request, which you know I love making the most.  It's hard for me to turn them down even with impromptu request.  Here are a couple of  projects and I'll be sharing a few more real soon.

A Time To Celebrate

First I want to thank you Alice for selecting me to receive the LIEBSTER award.  I was thrilled and honored to be considered.  For those that do not know, let me tell you about it
This Award was designed to be a blog award in the "Pay it Forward" fashion. Once you have been nominated you award it to five blogs that you like that have fewer than 200 followers to encourage visitors to their blog.
Rules for Acceptance
Thank the person who gave you the award and link back to their blog. Post the award onto your blog. Give the award to five bloggers that have fewer than 200 followers. Leave a comment on their blog letting them know that you have given them the Awesome Award. Pay it Forward.

So I went a blogging to search for the first five bloggers that had less than 200 followers and have not received the award.  They are
Mary Joyce
La-Vie
Tina

Second I have reached 150 followers and would like to RAK someone a $15 gift card from Michaels or Joanns.  Leave me a message about anything that's on your heart by midnight Wednesday, May 15th !!!

A Work in Progress

This card was created for a co-workers birthday whose favorite color is green. She wears braids so I thought this cute little Brat Kids image was the perfect one to use. I feel I'm getting better with Spectrum Noir markers especially after viewing a tutorial by Summer Hills-Painters coloring green using Palette Blending, but its still a work in progress.  I used Mojo Monday 291 sketch.

April cards bring May layouts

Although I love creating cards, I miss designing layouts so you will see more this month.  My play niece Morgan just celebrated her Sweet Sixteen.  These were the colors of her party.  This layout was framed and put on a table easel to commemorate her early years.  Look how cute she's blossomed.  Morgan is a focused honor student at Hutchison , who enjoys golf, dance, track and choir.  Her love for debating has inspired her to become an attorney.

Recipe ingredients:
McGill tab punch
Stampin Up banner punch
Martha Stewart edge punch
Making Memories & Paper Studio brads
Teresa Collins chipboard frame & measuring tape
Prima, Michaels  & Recollection flowers
