A thank you card

This sweet card is going to my sorority sister Betty Kyles who invited me to teach a Faithbooking class at her womens ministry.  I was so thankful and wanted to send a thank you card.  Of course it's a womens group so I just had to pull out my new Stampin Up dress form set. I'm trying so hard not to be a hoarder. The tulle came from my mother's stash of goodies.

Saturday parade ends

Hope you enjoyed the Saturday parade.  This is the third and last post of 'Lil Easter Dress' digital by Robert Jackson.  She was fun to play with and is ending in grand style on her easel card.  It's very special to me, because the supplies that were retrieved to create this one was from my stash of scraps. Scraps make the prettiest cards to me.  It's going to one of my sweet sorority sister's mother who is ill.  I just love the message, "Faith is not believing that God can but knowing that He will."  I'm sure you can attest to that.  Faith can move mountains!

Since it's spring I thought why not try the pastels. I went to my box of scraps and found both scrap papers of one I just cut the parisol out.

Saturday parade begins

I woke up at 3:30am this morning feeling crafty so instead of tossing and turning, I decided to get up and create!  I printed three images of 'Lil Easter Dress' image from Robert Jackson digital images.  Okay if you've visited me before, you may have guessed I love the black/red/white combo.  It's the color combo in my scraproom...oops guest bedroom.  I also make a lot of cards for my sorority sisters since I'm the Courtesy chair.  The little girl in me came out in this card.
Recipe Ingredients
Spellbinder die
Spectrum markers
DCWV paper stack
Ranger Christmas Red Stickles
Martha Stewart lace punch & leaf punch
Pink Paislee pixee stix - coconut
Archivers heart die cut
Recollection pearls
Michaels tulle and doily

Do you see how the little girl in me came out?  Notice the pearls, laced punches, die and doily, and tulle on the bottom of her dress with stickled roses?    The top of her dress is accented with coconut glitter.
So enjoyed creating and these challenges were my inspiration!

A Card that Sings

I serve a risen Savior He's in the world today.......Have you guessed the song by now?   "He Lives"!  We sing a hymn in our devotion on Sunday. It's hard to throw away the programs so I must admit I recycle the songs since I LOVE sheet music.  It was used for this card I made for my co-worker who lost her grandmother.  I wanted her heart to be lifted and smile.  Can't you hear the birds singing?

Because He Lives

Yes I'm back after a much needed sabbatical.  Because He Lives I can face tomorrow!  Got an opportunity to get some organization in my life and taken inventory of my stash.  I found this paper for my first card and can't remember where, when or what brand it is.  I do know it's very old.  It just screamed spring and that's why I added this image and colored with my Spectrum Noir markers. The flowers is a sure indication that life will go on.

I truly feel renewed from my time off just like the Word Art Wednesday message that reads, "I have been CRUCIFIED with Christ.  It is no longer I who live, but CHRIST lives in me. Galatians 2:20.  This is my take on the sketch.  Of course the pretty colors from The Play Date Cafe challenge made it easy and using Martha Stewart punches finished it off.  The adorable digital image is by Robert Jackson colored with Spectrum Markers & use of glossy accents.

I had a Hallelujah good time creating these cards.  I'm sure the angels in Heaven heard me........
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, all fear is gone.
Because I know He holds my future
and life is worth the living just because He lives.

Got to keep a song in my heart and Psalm on my mind.  That's how I start my day.
