Virtual Fun

Virtual Crops are the best.  I enjoy having fun with my sistahs during our Virtual Crops.  It's a great way to stay in touch and take a mental break from everything to do what we absolutely love.  We had a challenge to have a little fun with this cute Sheri Baldy digi.  My sketch is from Sweet Sketch Wednesday.  It kept me focused although I got a little sleepy and had to finish it early this morning.

Cards for Kindness

Of course I love making cards and what a great cause Scrapbook.com has to make Cards for Kindness and they send  them out to people and organizations. I recently received a card from one of my sorority sisters for having a virtual scrapbooking session. It made my day! In times like these, we all could use some Happy Mail. I’m also making mask and packaging them with these mini bags I received during one of Michaels $4 grab bag specials using a cute little digital and Stampin Up Digital sentiment.

National Scrapbook Day challenge

For National Scrapbook Day, I made a gift bag for a Soror with a sweet treat! After one hour in the line at JoAnns, I just had to leave. She knew I wanted material and picked up a few pieces of fabrics on her visit for me. It was the perfect opportunity to use sketch SC427 to create the design.  Of course the digital image I colored was the infamous Robert Jackson and the digital scripture is by Word Art Wednesday

Mm mm good if I might say.  Yes!  Banana pudding

Come Sunday Challenge

This card was made for a sister who lost her husband. It was inspired by a 'Come Sunday' challenge at Scraps of Color using a Robert Jackson digital image.  The sketch is by Feeling Sketchy and I enjoyed making the pocket to include the tissue.   The scripture definitely speaks to this present time right?  The butterflies were fussy cut from the Mariposa paper. Sure who it encourages her heart.

He's Got The Whole World In His Hands

Instead of focusing on the negative news and pandemic in the world, Tyler Perry put a challenge out to sing, "He's Got The Whole World In His Hands!"   Mary Joyce over at Scraps of Color put out a challenge to use a Robert Jackson digital with a song.   My crafty self  start singing in my craft room and instantly thought about the Hymns in the church, which we use to sing often.  It all came together in this card.  Then I thought about the receiver.  She's Deborah Thomas, a re-known Memphis singer with the voice that will make you think Mahalia Jackson is in the room.  You can find her on Facebook singing the song.  Papers and embellishment are from the Simple Stories - Faith paper stack.  #itsallinthesong  #faithoverfear

Psalm 40:5

This is my third post over at Word Art Wednesday as Guest Designer in January.  It has been a pleasure creating for such an inspirational blog of wonderful  designers.  Karen is such a blessing and joy.  We've only communicated via email, but I feel like I know her as if we've met each other in person.  Just talking about the goodness of God brings me joy.  I can't imagine my life without Him.  It's amazing how God brings people in your life.  I'll cherish our friendship for a life time.  Psalm 40:5 reminds me of a journal I completed one year, noting only positive moments that happened within the day.  I still go back to the journal, because it reminds me if He did it once He will do it again and He has done marvelous things.  I just can't name them all!!!

Lamentations 3:25

Join us at Word Art Wednesday for the second challenge of 2020.  The scripture is Lamentations 3:25, but its Anything Goes.  Yes, I love this scripture and the digital image by Robert Jackson just spoke to my soul.  I thought it was the perfect one to use.  The paper is one of my favorites and I'm almost out by Bo Bunny Faith Collection paper stack.

Psalm 16:8

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!  I welcome 2020 and so excited about what God has for me.  What an honor to start 2020 in the Word. This card was created for Word Art Wednesday challenge using Psalm 16:8 as their Guest Designer.  I believe this scripture spoke to sweet little Phoebe.  She said nothing can swerve her from her purpose.  God has her right hand baking in her new business.  Great example for those of you making New Year resolutions to seek God first and then create your plan!
