My nephew of my sorority sisters's son LJ had a birthday on April 27th and I made this card for him. He loves red because his mother and father greek colors are Crimson and Cream. Yes his mother is a Delta and his father a Kappa. I wanted to make him something special since he lives in Virginia and I don't get to see him often. His favorite store to shop is Target and he can tell you whats on every aisle. lol This shaker card was easy peasy using foam paper. Use DCWV The Celebration Paper Stack
Isn't this a cute Whoopsi Daisy Beach Baby? I made a watercolor scenery and added the grass and flowers with markers. Buttons were used for sea shells. Glossy accents was used for the rain drops. Do you see the doodling around the edges? She was colored with Bic-Mark Its and Spectrum Markers.
It's amazing how the most sourest fruit is the best for you. I love that lemons can make lemonade. It's always good to know that out of a bad situation will come some good. Let's give thanks to the Lord, for He is good and His love endures forever. I Chronicles 16:34

I've added Bible Journaling to my list of Paper Crafting!!! I attended Ann Peace Bible Journaling class at Faith Baptist and got hooked. It was inspirational and our first assignment was Proverbs 3:5. We were given the art to trace, but I did mine free-hand. This is one of my mother's favorite verses. She absolutely loved it when I shared it with her and we immediately start talking times when we knew God was directing our paths. (See below after the bookmark) I won a prize at Scraps of Color to Blue Moon Scrapbooking and I got Esther's stamp, Pray/Faith washi tape and the Rotary stamp Date it by Illustrated Faith. This is how I used it on a tag with dry embossing, handwriting, stamps, water color, markers and washi tape.
At Scraps of Color we were asked to make a card of encouragement. I'm using Viva La Verve's Sketch Week 1 for my card accenting the hearts. I embossed the sentiment which I think is powerful and encouraging..
Jeffrey on The Haves and Have Nots is the next character featured on Scraps of Color. Our challenge this week was Anything Goes. I wanted to play in a few challenges so I selected the Triple Stamp effect with The Male Room. I had to change measurements due to the window die cut, but it was a fun technique. I've had the Stampin Up Beyond Plaids stamp for over three years and this is the first time I've used it. I can't wait to see which character Robert Jackson reveals next week.
Scraps of Color is having "The Haves and Have Nots" challenge featuring a new character each week as long as you complete the last one. The infamous Robert Jackson is the artist. Last week was Benny with the Towing company. Our challenge was to create a project using metal. I used a piece of metal fence along with some brads.
