Be My Warm and Fuzzy Valentine

These bags were made for our Ashton Nursing Home ministry.  Our church members gave generous donations and items to fill the bags such as robes, socks, houseshoes, throws, knitted caps, t-shirts, hats, lotion, denture cups, toothbrushes, and word search puzzles for their Christmas worship.  We had more than enough.  Due to a last minute donation of t-shirts and socks, instead of holding them to next year we decided to give them out on Valentine's Day.  So with that said, I designed the front of the paper bags from a sketch by Tuesday Morning Sketches.  The paper bags were a freebie from my Paper Crafting Sister Rhoda.  She placed them in her donate box and somehow I knew they would come in good use.

A pair of socks was wrapped up in a t-shirt of various sizes.
Below are how they were folded to put in the bag.

There are a total of 32 Warm and Fuzzy Valentines prepared!

Here's a close up of the paper bag.
The message says "God understands our prayers even when we can't find the words to say them."

  1. WOW PP this is really a labor of love which is as you know, is no labor. The bags are very pretty but the spirit behind them is beautiful. The red signifies the precious Blood and love, the music notes and butterflies give a sign of hope. God bless your art and outreach. Thank you so much for joining our 219th challenge at Word Art Wednesday this next fortnight. Your creation is inspiring, beautiful and very much appreciated. Blessings, Carole
