Easel Away

Bringing you two easel cards today both made using DCWV Summer Garden Jardin d'Ete 6x12 stack. The double sided sheets are gorgeous and full of vibrant colors!  Rain or shine I have two cards to make someone smile. It's been a while since I've played around with easel cards.  This time I tried the circle card.  I kept it simple and can't wait to try it again.

With God all things are possible

Sweet little Pheobe is swinging and looking at the little butterflies under her feet, knowing that God is bigger than her problems.  Sometimes we go through little challenges, but if we focus on the bigger picture then we KNOW in our hearts All things are possible with God.    Have a blessed week.

Can you believe the 4th of July holiday is just two weeks away?  Where has the year gone.

Is it Girlie?

This card was inspired by a sketch from Sweet Shoppe.  They wanted me to make it girlie, which was great because I'm making this one for a 50th birthday party and her favorite colors are red and white. I embossed the dress with the polka dot plate.  The background is done with the Happy Birthday plate.

Our Daily Bread Designs

I sure miss Archivers.  That's where I purchased my very first Our Daily Bread Design stamps.  It's nothing like receiving a card with a scripture or encouraging word.  I chose Die Cuts With A View Summer Garden stack. It comes double sided in 6x12.  The paper is very pretty.  I inked the doily with orange Versacolor ink as my border for the scripture.  The photo looks redish, but it's actually orange.  I added some fiber above the blue border that's actually a part of the paper.  Got to LOVE this stack.

Tie a Yellow Ribbon

Yes I tied a yellow ribbon on the front of my fold card.  It's made for one of my sorority sisters that had two surgeries.  Sweet little Pencil Pixie digital image from Whimsie Doodle is at her service to take any request she needs to keep her mind at ease.  I added the butterflies at the end to tie in the front.  The front sentiment is by Verve and the inside sentiment is by JustYolie.

Recipe Ingredients:

Verve stamp

No digital, no coloring...

Can you believe it?  No digital, no coloring.  This card was made for one of my sorority sisters who was under the weather.  Her courtesy is a little late, but I'm sure it will put a smile on her face.  I was playing eeny, meeny, miny, moe with my Verve's stamps that I chose with a gift certificate I won at Paperieblooms blog giveaway. Isn't it the sweetest sentiment?!

Can It Be A Baby Mobile?

Scraps of Color is having a coaster challenge using a Robert Jackson digital RJ2013#10.  My friends always laugh at me for taking the coasters from Olive Garden.  Why throw them away when you can recycle?!! Brown Sugar Challenge #45 is using felt or fabric and I chose my Stampin Up fabric. Spectrum Noir is having a Summer Time challenge.  I painted the sky blue and the red paint represents heat, however the baby is colored with Spectrum Noir markers. Word Art Wednesday has an Anything Goes Uplifting sentiment.  How sweet is the sentiment?  It is always exciting working with several challenges at one.  I pulled out two baby (boy & girl) images.  I didn't like the coloring on the boy so I stopped and worked with the girl.  As you see my coasters are used as a Baby Mobile.  What do you think?  I'm going to print the boy again and complete it.  I'm inspired!

You Are A Beacon of Light

While purchasing supplies for a customer, I browsed through the clearance box at Michaels and found this canvas mini for only 50 cents!  Since I was going to visit one of my aunts I thought why not make her a mini of inspirational quotes and phrases.  She has a sweet spirit and full of wisdom.  I took quick photos before I headed out so the quality is not that great.  I apologize.
Everything was from my stash of scraps.  I just can't throw it away.
Quote reads, "You are a beacon of LIGHT that shines so bright you give me HOPE"

It's blury, I think I was singing while I took this one. lol
Unity Stamp (Faith)  Reads "I will sing the Lord's praise, for He has been good to me."

Quote reads, "Courage is fear that has said it's prayers"  Got it from a little book of hugs to encourage and inspire.  The scripture is from Stampin Up "Truest in the Lord will all thine heart - Proverbs 3:5

Inspirational Accordian mini albums

Okay blog friends here is another project I worked on that I completed Sunday.  We were asked to donate gifts for our 17 graduates in Delta Gems.  Since they were going to college I wanted to give them something they can reflect on.  Of course there is plenty of room to add photos, but the message is what I truly want them to remember.  Some had inspirational quotes, scriptures, and words.
Since there were so many projects on my 'to do' list I only had 48 hours to complete these.  Oh the possibilities......Can't wait to do these again!!!  I went into my stash of goodies and pulled our vellum quotes and sheets of quotes I've had for years. I used fibers and ribbons.  Some quotes & scriptures were from Word Art Wednesday so I decided to enter these into their Challenge #82 Anything Goes
Can you imagine this mini was made with one 12x12 sheet?  Some were double sided, which made them really cute and versatile.  The tags were mostly solid colors and I added the flourish stamp to give it some pizazz.  All the cute embellies were in my stash to throw away, but I just can't get the bag to go into the garbage can. lol
I was pleased with them with the timeframe I had to do them.  I'm going to start making them with my scraps and keep them handy to give out as RAK gifts and rewards for my students.
Here's a close up of the front.  Mostly an embellishment, flower and word.  My sorority sisters loved them so I think the graduates will love them and be blessed by the inspirational message.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a blessed day!

Sweet Gesture

My co-worker, the new kid on the block, surprised us with a delicious tray of chocolate covered strawberries. What a sweet gesture!  While talking with her at her desk I saw this old small plain clipboard. I asked her what her favorite colors were.  She said green and she also liked pink. I took it and told her I wanted to spruce it up a bit. She looked at me funny. When I returned it she looked up and smiled.
